Welcome to our new site! Work is being done to enhance mobile compatability.
Here you will find all updates pertaining to Jennifer's writing, projects, and career.
You can select posts from the below list, with the most recent updates pinned to this page.
It's been a while since I gave an update regarding my writing. I'm therefore pleased to announce that The Kitsune's Lullaby is almost complete, with twenty-six chapters and over 83,000 words and counting.
It's been a long process telling this haunting fantasy, and a relief to finally see the finishing line.
There'll be an even longer process proof-reading, editing, and putting the book together. The aim is to have this latest novel out between June and October this year, before moving on to The Beaumont Egalitarian Society's long-awaited sequel.
If you haven't already, please don't hesitate to sign up for all latest updates here.
Wishing you all a safe and happy rest of March,
Jennifer x
Dear fellow authors (and readers/ visitors to my site),
Firstly, welccome to the new look site! I hope you like the changes I've made to this site. It's just about complete (give or take a few updates and minor glitches), and whilst there are some limitations (including working out the subscribe widget), I'm feeling much happier with the design freedom I now have here.
You may have noticed that music now plays on the Home page and About section. These songs have been selected as they are close to my heart and/or have inspired my stories in some way. They should play automatically, and you can choose the song from the list by clicking the little music player. You can also pause the song or turn down the volume if you so wish.
Secondly, and this is mainly for indie Aussie authors, I have a quick reminder regarding Legal Deposits. Every Australian author (and musician) is required to submit a copy of their work to both the National Library and their State Library under the Libraries Act 1984. This copy should be the best version, so ideally the ebook/digital file if you have it (the National Library will pass this onto your state), and if not, the hard back copy over a paperback (if applicable—one copy for National and one for State).
Whilst many of you may already be aware of this requirement, I didn't know until it was pointed out (shout out to Jesse and the team in Tassie for having my back! :)). You have many options to choose how the copy is distributed, and better yet, will ensure your work can be enjoyed by readers for decades to come.
The entire process only takes a few minutes if uploading a file.
Third and finally, thank you to everyone who has already submitted book recommendations or booked interviews. I cannot wait to sit down and chat with you all and share your stories!
I hope you're all having a lovely start to the week,
Jennifer x
